Who We Are
Welcome to Apologize to Children, a company founded by a trauma-based educator and parent in the Pacific Northwest. Our mission is to raise awareness and start conversations about breaking cycles of abuse and trauma.
At Apologize to Children, we understand the devastating impact of childhood trauma and the long-lasting effects it can have on individuals and society as a whole. We believe that acknowledging the trauma and taking steps towards healing is the first step in breaking generational cycles.
Our apparel and merchandise feature sometimes confrontational phrases that are meant to spark conversations and raise awareness about the importance of breaking cycles of trauma. By wearing our products, you are showing your support for survivors and cycle breakers, and helping to spread the message that it’s never too late to apologize and take action towards healing.
We are passionate about helping survivors and about creating a safer and more supportive world for children. That’s why a portion of our proceeds goes towards supporting organizations that provide resources and support for survivors of abuse and trauma.
Thank you for joining us on this journey towards healing. Together, we can create a world where every child can grow up feeling safe, loved, and supported.
What We Believe
We believe in evidence-based practices, understanding that many parenting types are successful, and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to childrearing. However, small changes within our households are able to promote great changes in our families.
We also believe in healing our own inner child, and treating them with love. Too many adults struggle to overcome the obstacles of their traumas, many feeling that they may never live without the affects. We believe that every person deserves the chance to live peacefully, surrounded by those who value kindness, patience, and understanding. While we cannot immediately change the world to suit our vision, we know we can have hard conversations and embolden each other to be just a little gentler with each other.
